This is a straight to the point, no-nonsense type of massage oil. No thrills or marketing points won here. Just a plain-looking bottle that means business.  

But to me, there’s nothing wrong with that. The artwork on the labeling is cute, and the company provides all the information you need to know like potency, the type of hemp extract (full-spectrum), serving size, and how to properly store it.

In sum, the first impressions were good and I was eager to find out what the smell and texture were like.

Smell

To be honest, I loved the smell. The oil has distinctive earthy and hempy aromas, with strong sweet notes. You get a sense of the smell right when you press the pop-top lid open.

The fragrance is strong, yet pleasant when applying it to your skin. Since the CBD massage oil only contains natural ingredients, there’s no artificial, or perfumy smell, which I was so thankful for. Testing process and experience

Before writing this review I used the massage oil about 4 times. That was enough for me to decide whether I loved or hated it. Guess what? I loved it!

From the smell, to the smooth texture, to the non-greasy feel, to the thrill of my muscles singing and dancing from the relief and comfort they felt. Ahhh. Need I say anything more?

A rectangular black box with a red fish on it holds the Koi vape juice. The box is sturdy cardboard. There’s a faint swirling watermark as a backdrop for the fish.

The top flap of the box has the fish logo. It also notes the flavor and strength. In this case, Strawberry Milkshake and 500mg respectively

What you might call the front of the box is actually two of the longer sides. The Koi name and fish logo stretch across both panels. The leftmost panel just has the letter K and the fish tail. The rest of the brand name and remainder of the fish is on the right panel. On the bottom right they note potency above the letters CBD. And the flavor of the juice and volume of the bottle are below that.

Beside the panel with the flavor and potency info is one describing the Koi ‘standard’. The founders established the company in 2015. They use only the highest-quality ingredients. Their hemp is grown in the USA. It mentions third-party testing and certification.

Below the standard statement is a circular logo for ‘lab test results’. Next to that is a QR code that links to a website with the published batch results.

An American flag is next. The words below it read ‘hemp grown and extracted in the USA’. And lastly is the company web address.

The final package panel has a lot of information. They list out all ingredients, with cannabidiol being first. Then there’s propylene glycol and food-grade vegetable glycerin. And the final ingredients are natural and artificial flavors.

The company mailing address and phone number follow. There is a suggested use and storage section. The product is best stored in a cool dry place away from light, heat and humidity.

Below the usage info are some warnings. One is ‘keep out of reach of children’. The vape oil is not for use by people younger than 21. There are cautions against use by pregnant women or those with medical conditions. Consulting your doctor is wisely recommended. And there is an advisory that it contains trace amounts of THC. Pretty standard stuff for vaping products.

After a warning that the product hasn’t undergone evaluation by the FDA, there is a barcode. And that’s it. Lots of reading if you want information.

The black dropper bottle inside the contains some of the same stuff. Logo, contents and potency are on display. There’s also a list of social media icons. The physical and web addresses are there. So, the most important data.

Smell and taste

As interesting and informative as the box and bottle may be, the star of any review is using the product.

So, I unscrewed the top of the bottle and removed the eyedropper. I sucked up some of the fruity-smelling liquid with the dropper. I then carefully filled my reusable vape cartridge. After that I attached the filled cart to the top of my vape. All I had left to do was to thumb the button while inhaling through the top nozzle.

The KOI CBD oil produced nice vapor. Breathing it in, I could immediately taste the strawberry milkshake flavor. I exhaled a big, white cloud of sweet smelling vapor. The aftertaste was like having drank a thick strawberry shake. And the flavor got stronger with each hit.
This product is definitely tasty and aromatic, but what about the effects?

Testing process and experience

CBD vape oil is a concentrate, so the effects are strong and last pretty long. I have enjoyed vaping other cannabis products for those same reasons.

When I puffed on the Koi juice, there was some pretty quick sublingual effect. Some of the medicine gets absorbed immediately through the mouth. My pain started to ease within minutes. It took around ten to fifteen minutes for the full response, though.

Because I know that concentrates can come on strong, I always start with just a puff or two. Then I wait awhile to see how the full effects are. Once you know how well you tolerate the potency, you can add a puff or several.

The first thing I noticed was a feeling of mental relaxation. Not giddiness, but very pleasant. Happy would be an apt description. The next effect that registered was lessening pain.

I have chronic arthritis in my back and both knees. The stiffness and soreness began to ease within minutes. That only added to the already relaxing mental effects.

My improved mood and soothed body stayed for a couple of hours. As pain and stress started to creep back, I took another couple of puffs and relief returned.

The beauty of this product is that it’s easy to dose with throughout the day. And if you use a pen vape, those are easy to pocket when you’re on the go. Plus, one button operation makes vaping a breeze.

I would caution against using this while or before driving. There is some drowsiness with higher doses.

Final Verdict

If you like vaping and CBD, you’ll probably like this vape juice. It works well for pain and stress. It is somewhat sedating, so use sensible precautions. But the strawberry milkshake flavor is as strong as this product is potent. I both enjoyed the taste and the effects. I felt relief from pain within minutes. And I also experienced a boost to my mood. Both improvements lasted a couple of hours.

There are, of course, many other flavors of Koi vape juice. And they have a range of potencies to suit your needs. I plan on trying a variety of their vaping products. They have won me over as a customer, because their product was enjoyable and worked. That means a lot.

Extract Labs sees CBD and cannabis as safer alternatives. Because of their convictions, they put a lot of heart and soul into their products.

The company wants consumers to have options for CBD dosing. So they offer a wide variety of wares. Their inventory includes CBD hemp oil and capsules. They sell tincture and vape cartridges. And one of their specialties is CBD concentrates like Blue Dream.

So you have a high quality product from a highly reputable company. Now what about the specifics of the cannabidiol crumble?

The Blue Dream CBD Crumble comes in a little screw-top jar. The lid of the cylindrical container is white plastic. The body is thick glass. It is small and easily fits into the palm of your hand. The solid glass body gives it some weight, but it’s not too heavy.

There’s nothing on the side of the container. The corrugated top gives you a better grip when turning it. The side of the glass bottom is clear. You can see the honey-colored product inside through the side.

There is a blue and white label covering the topside of the lid. Extract Labs’ name arches across the upper section. Their logo is directly below that. The logo looks like an American flag with a droplet in the top left corner. Then it states that the product is Blue Dream. And the label indicates that the contents are ‘terpene infused’. Also on the top label is the potency of the product’s CBD – 800mg.

Lastly, there is the word ‘crumble’. This differentiates the concentrate from shatter, which is harder and brittle. Crumble gets whipped, thus infused with air. The addition of air makes crumble softer than shatter.

Another blue and white sticker covers the bottom. Though the bottom is small, there’s a lot of information there.

First there is circle with a long number in it. It’s a batch number for the CBD’s source hemp. There was also a QR-code below the words ‘terpene infused’. When scanned with a smart phone it opens a link. The link is the batch testing results online. So you can check out the quality of the product before you vape or smoke it.

Beside the QR-code is Extract Labs’ web address. Below that is their physical mailing address. And then there’s the company’s telephone number.

There’ some other information noted on the bottom label. It notes that the CBD crumble uses ‘all natural ingredients’. For those interested, the ingredients of the wax are kosher. Lastly, there is a caution that the product hasn’t gone through evaluation by the FDA. And that they can’t promise to ‘diagnose, treat or cure any disease’.

That’s about it for package labeling.

The container’s top fits snugly, yet unscrews easily. Inside of the clear glass bottom sits the golden crumble.

Smell and taste

I hadn’t tried vaping CBD crumble before. However, I was familiar with marijuana concentrates. I have a vape pen with a dab nail attachment. So, I took a tweezers and pinched a bit of the soft crumble. Next I loaded it on my dab nail, attached the clear globe and thumbed the power button.

The soft wax of the Blue Dream has a sweet, citrusy smell. When it’s vaporized, it’s even more so. Burning this cannabis concentrate produces a thick, aromatic cloud.

The flavor is strongly fruity. It’s sweet with a little tartness. More like a lime than a lemon. And the taste is from the terpenes that infuse the crumble. Limonene is the specific terpene that gives it its fruitiness.

Now the aftertaste was a little more on the sour side. More like a lemon than a lime. A bit opposite of the initial flavor impression.

I must say I really liked the taste and aroma!

Testing process and experience

Concentrated cannabis appeals to users because the effects are stronger. Those that take CBD for pain relief get far more respite. Similarly, those who use it to dial down stress feel much more relaxed.

A few people may get overwhelmed by the potency. With concentrates, it’s best to start small and go slow. That way you can see how well you tolerate them.

Dealing with chronic back pain can be debilitating physically and mentally. But I have found dosing with CBD to very helpful. Blue Dream strain is ideal for body and mind effects. This cannabis and terpene crumble soothes aches and pains. It also relaxes the mind without doping you. The concentrate is actually rather stimulating.

So, I took my initial vape pen dab. I enjoyed the taste. After, I only waited a few minutes before feeling relief and relaxation. There’s some immediate reaction as some of the contents get absorbed through the mouth. That was nice. But the effects build over about ten to fifteen minutes. In that time I increasingly felt soothed and relaxed. That is some potent medicine!

I’d say the benefits lasted about 2 hours. Then, after another quick session with some crumble in my vape pen, I was soon better again. This is a great CBD concentrate to use throughout the day. Because it is stimulating, I would leave off hitting it a few hours before bed.

Anyone seeking a tasty and potent product to help them with pain and stress will like this. It comes in a solid, clear glass container with a white plastic lid. There’s all kinds of useful information on the top and bottom labels. Extract Labs’ CBD crumble with terpenes has a great, fruity taste when vaped. It produces some thick clouds when exhaled. The effects are strong and last long. You could use it to feel good, but without psychoactive effects. You can also use it to deal with pain and stress. I recommend you give it a try for yourself.

I was pretty eager to try out this product when it arrived in the mail. It arrived in a sturdy cardboard container. There was plenty of padding to ensure it arrived intact. Inside the postal box was the Endoca salve. I needn’t have worried about the condition of the waxy substance because it comes in a solid metal jar.

The product box and the jar have the same green and white colors. Both have the Endoca logo and tell you that you’re holding 750mg of hemp salve.

The box has labeling that notes that the contents are 100% organic. It is quality certified. The ingredients inside are non-GMO. And the company states that it is against animal testing. They have the full list of ingredients printed out on the container. And there’s a warning about not storing the salve in direct sunlight. Ideally you should refrigerate the product.

The only other thing noteworthy on the box is Endoca’s physical address in the EU. They include phone numbers for American and European customers. Their email and web addresses are clearly stated.

The jar lid notes that product has antioxidant skin conditioning. Further, it says it is an antiseborrheic skin protectant. That means that it’s good for dermatitis and similar skin conditions. Good to know.

Around the cylindrical metal jar is more interesting information. They printed the word ‘hemp’ in big letters. So, they want you to know what the main ingredient is. It states that Endoca uses ‘all organic certified ingredients’. This ointment is also supposed to be ‘so pure that you can eat it’! I will let you know how that goes.

Included on the small metal jar of hemp salve is the size, 30ml or one ounce. The skin treatment contains vitamin E. Vitamin E is good for skin moisturizing, helps heal wounds and boosts skin health.

Lastly, the label tells you that the contents are 100% organic.

There are no real use instructions on the jar or box, but you can figure it out easily. Skin solutions should obviously get rubbed onto your skin.

Smell and taste

The top of this topical unscrews very easily. The salve itself has a very waxy texture. It’s a light green in color. This isn’t a cream. There’s some resistance when you push your fingers against the surface. Then the waxy substance gives way and you can scoop some up with your fingertips.

The smell of the wax is citrusy. It’s a lemon-lime smell reminiscent of a bubbling glass of Sprite.

And I did taste it. The food grade product has a lemony taste and waxy texture. It wasn’t bad.

Testing process and experience

I have systemic osteoarthritis. Due to my joint pain I often wear supports for my back, knees and ankles. This can cause chafing and irritation. So I was eager to see how the Endoca solution treated my skin irritation.

I picked a sore spot on my back and tried a dab of the skin treatment. When you rub the Endoca salve on your skin it feels somewhat sticky. That stickiness gives way to an oily feel that you can rub in further. Eventually it soaks all the way into your skin.

It took about 10 minutes for the full effects of the treatment to relieve my pain. However, within a couple minutes I did start to notice some improvement begin.

I felt that as the wax soaked into my skin, it seemed to spread to the underlying muscles. I have a lot of muscle cramps, so this is encouraging. Although hemp cream seems to soak into skin faster, the salve stayed longer. I think that if it stays longer then the effects seem to last a bit longer.

750mg of CBD is potent. I have used creams that are not as strong and you can tell the difference. The Endoca product’s effects seemed to last almost 2 hours before I had to reapply. And 1 ounce of skin treatment should last you awhile. I didn’t have to apply much, just a small dollop.

Final Verdict

I really believe that Endoca puts out a really good hemp salve. The packaging and container were solid and informative. But there’s no real instructions on how to use it. That said, it isn’t hard to figure out.

Insofar as how much to use, that you’ll have to estimate. For minor cuts, scrapes or soreness a small dab should do. If it hurts more you can use more.

I think someone with chronic skin irritation would find Endoca’s salve ideal. It also works well on minor cuts, scrapes and patches of dry skin. It does soak through the skin into the muscles. That way, you can use it on muscle aches too.

Endoca’s hemp salve will definitely be part of my skin care arsenal from now on!

CBDawg hemp flower comes in a resealable Dr. Ganja pouch. The pouch consists of flexible but solid plastic. You have to tear the bag open at first. There’s a foil strip on top that rips off easily. After that, you can reseal it. The top has a press-and-seal closure like a Ziploc bag. It’s much like the zip-close bags used by dispensaries.

You can see the hemp nuggets inside through the clear front. The inside backing is silvery. You see the Dr. Ganja logo emblazoned across the front on a white rectangle. There’s also the words ‘CBD flower’ just below. Underneath that it proclaims, ‘nurtured and grown in the USA’. Lastly, there’s a statement that the product ‘contains 0.3% ∆9-THC or less’.

The backside of the resealable pouch is shiny black. There are two white rectangles on the back. One is smaller and near the top. That one answers the question ‘what is in your bud?’ The answer given is CBDawg flower. They display the batch testing number of the strain.

In the small box, there is a breakdown of CBD, cannabinoid and terpene percentages. Important information about the cannabinoids includes that there is no Delta-9 THC detected. The date of the testing of the hemp batch is also on the small rectangle. It further notes that there were no pesticides detected.

Lastly, there are three more pieces of information in the smaller box. The package indicates the weight of the hemp bud – in my case that was 7 grams. There is a link to the Dr. Ganja web site for full lab test results. By the way, there’s also a paper cannabinoid print-out that comes with your order. There is a q-code and bar-code on the back. Those take you to the batch testing info on Dr. Ganja.

The larger bottom rectangle repeats ‘‘what is in your bud?’ This contains a lot of useful data. There is a repeat about no pesticides. There are suggestions for using the CBD hemp flower. These methods include vaping, smoking or making hemp oil extract. Another restatement is ‘contains 0.3 % Delta 9-THC’. There is also some legal information. Plus, there is a warning about possible drowsiness. Dr. Ganja warns users to keep this product away from children. Pretty basic stuff.

At the very bottom is the Dr. Ganja web address. There is also the Dr. Ganja toll-free phone number for questions and comments. And there’s another q-code link to the testing info.

After reading the packaging info, it was time to try out the CBDawg leaf.

Smell and taste

The spongy, green nugs have a lemony smell. I snapped one in half and it gives a puff of citrusy air. When I put it up to my nose, I could also smell earth. It smells like being outside in a lemon orchard. The outdoorsy, fruity smell increased when I ground the nugs.

I placed the shredded hemp flower into my pipe bowl. I sparked the lighter and lit it up. And when I took a pull, I breathed in the smoke. The taste was woody. Again, earthiness was an undertone. There was also a hint of lemon. The combined flavor was great, a very nice tasting smoke.

I smoked enough to create a bit of a fog. The lingering smoke was woodsy. It was like being out in a forest on an autumn afternoon. There wasn’t as much of a citrusy smell as the unburned leaf had.

I gotta say I loved the taste and smell of the CBDawg hemp strain.

Now what about the effects?

Testing process and experience

Like a lot of people, I like to smoke CBD flower. Smoking CBD provides relief fast. CBD pills and edibles take time to digest – from half an hour to over an hour. When you use a tincture it gets almost immediately absorbed under the tongue. Smoking flower is a middle ground. It takes less than fifteen minutes for the full effects of smoking hemp to kick in.

I recently had my back go out and have been in a great deal of pain. CBDawg is top shelf hemp flower. I found that smoking some significantly reduced my backache. There have also been a lot of stresses in life lately, and I found this CBD flower to be very relaxing. Within minutes, I had a peaceful, easy feeling.

Welcome. In this review of Buddha Teas CBD Matcha Green Tea, I’m going to share my personal testimonial about this tea, the company that makes it, and give a final verdict.

First, we’ll start by introducing you to Buddha Teas.

Who are Buddha Teas?

Buddha Teas opened for business in 2008 because “the world needed access to a wide selection of 100% unadulterated, organic tea.” The company is based in Colorado Springs, CO, and introduced its line up of hemp-derived CBD teas in 2018. It holds true to its principles by sourcing organic herbs and spices for its CBD tea blends.

Also, Buddha Teas utilizes nanotechnology to convert cannabidiol from a fat-soluble compound into a water-soluble one. Using this innovative technology ensures that the valuable CBD molecule can absorb and assimilate into the bloodstream. And therefore work its magic.

The company offers six unique cannabidiol tea varieties, but I’m going to talk about its Matcha CBD tea and share my experience testing it out.

Buddha Teas CBD Matcha green tea: product specifications

• 18 tea bags with 5mg broad-spectrum water-soluble CBD per bag

Appearance, labeling & first impressions

I love the box these tea bags come in. I drink a lot of tea from many different brands, so little nuances like its “liftable lid” stands out to me. Also, the design, colors, and artwork are attractive. Plus, the information included in the labeling is helpful and tells you everything you want and need to know about the product. 

Other useful details on the box include a “caffeine guide”, an explanation of water-soluble CBD, directions for use, and key features of Buddha Teas. 

Then when you open the lid to the box, you find 18 individually wrapped tea bags in black packets. Along the line where you rip open the packet, you see the words “Happiness from Within”. I thought that was a nice touch and got me excited about my tasting experience.

Once you rip the packet open, you catch a whiff of earthy, Matcha goodness that’s subtle yet still present. The tea bag has a string attached to it. And at the end of it, there’s a little tag with a quote. Two of my favorite quotes I read during my testing period included:

• “When the root is strong the fruit is sweet.” – Bob Marley
• “Be a rainbow in someone’s cloud.” – Maya Angelou

Also, there’s one more important thing to mention about the box. At the bottom, there’s a “QR code” that you can scan with your smartphone camera and it will take you to link to view the lab testing results.

Based on the results from 3rd party labs, the amount of CBD per bag is around 7mg. This is a bit higher than the reported amount of 5mg (stated on the box and bag), but each batch varies and this is to be expected.

Also, the company performs internal testing, and their report shows non detectable levels of pesticides, heavy metals, and residual solvents.

Taste

If you’re familiar with Matcha, then you know it commonly comes in a powdered form and you need a special whisk to mix it with water or milk. But, since Buddha Teas CBD Matcha Green Tea comes in a tea bag, the taste is different. The texture of the tea is still silky smooth, but the taste isn’t quite as strong since it gets steeped in a tea bag compared to the traditional method of preparation.

In sum, the flavor is earthy and rich, making it enjoyable when served hot or over ice.  

Testing process and experience    

Before writing this review I consumed about 5 cups of the Matcha green tea. Each time I prepared a cup it was during the late morning or early afternoon. I put the tea kettle on the stove and then poured the hot water over the tea bag into my cup. After about 4 to 5 minutes of steeping, I removed the bag, squeezed out the contents, and took my first sip. 

The taste was wonderful. After finishing the cup of tea, I felt relaxed, yet alert. The caffeine level was perfect, not the type that gives you the jitters — just a natural uplifting feeling. Also, my mind stayed clear and my body felt relaxed, which is where I think the CBD kicked in.

I felt this way each of the 5 days I drank a cup. I’d definitely buy this again, and try the other CBD flavors that Buddha Teas carry.

Anyway, I tried every number I saw on the bottle and underneath the bottle, but to no avail. Next, I went to the FAQ section on the company’s website but struck out there too. So, I visited the gummies product page and found a copy of the COA there. From this most recent test (3/1/2020), I learned that the gummies are free of THC, and also have no e.coli or salmonella. Thank goddess, right?

Also, I saw that each gummy tested at 10.64mg of CBD, so the dose is accurate. However, the terpene profile wasn’t tested and the only detectable cannabinoids were CBD and CBDA. My point?
